In the media this week, "Saratoga" and "homestretch" will occur in the same sentence more than any other combination of words in common usage. Yes, it's the homestretch at Saratoga, and for those you unfamiliar with horse racing terminology or overused clichés, that means it's almost over. If you haven't been to the track this summer, it's time to seriously consider getting off your keister and enjoying the area's only world class sporting event ---and just because the Travers is over, doesn't mean the excitement has finished: everybody's going nuts this week over Saturday's appearance of Curlin at the $500,000 Woodward Stakes. To race fans, this is like Michael Phelps strapping on horseshoes and getting into the starting gate, so don't miss it.
