Kristi Gustafson took the Nite Cam out last week to learn the secret to getting the attention of bartenders. Apparently the secret is to be a woman. If you were not blessed to be born of the fairer sex, try cash ---but don't be a jerk about it. We found some really valuable advice from the blog Chris the Bartender, who serves drinks in Madison, Wisconsin. he says, "Approach the bar with $$ in hand and place your paw on the bar. Busy
bartenders may avoid eye contact because people presume it means
they're next in line, but we always notice money on the bar." He also says to tip big early on: "We're not above being bought. In fact we prefer it. Someone who tips $5-10 on their first round tells me they 'get it.'"
