PilatesNot to sound dumb, but up until recently we were pretty clueless about Pilates. After all, just listen to the name: Pilates. It sounds like some kind of sandwich they'd sell at Panera, right? The truth is that Pilates is a heck of a workout. Developed during World Way I to help rehabilitate injured soldiers, today Pilates is practiced by people seeking strength and balance. It puts special emphasis on your core muscles ---and the power of the mind to control your body.
